A two step conversion: From car park into an interactive art space which later was reinvented as a
community green space for the museum and its neighbours
This project saw the vision of artist Zheng Bo become reality. For
his exhibition ‘Botanical Comrades‘ two zones of the Gropius Bau’s large car park were re-interpreted
as a temporary forest, a space for people, animals and plants to
coexist and communicate. The project was so successful that we worked
towards making this transformation a permanent and organically
evolving feature for the museum.
